Bob's Bio

Check out those boots: knee high, leather, almost as fat as that belt. And that puffy pirate shirt. And please notice the hair. That's me. You just clicked on a picture of me at the age of 14 or 15, on my way to play a show. I was supposed to be picked up by the guitarist, but he forgot me and I had to ride a city bus to the gig. And I was glad to do it.

I come from carnie people. My grandfather was a drummer in a polka band. I grew up in taverns and bars, listening to bubbling Wurlitzers and weekend live music.

I started out playing in R&B and Pop Music bands. By the time I was in high school, I was playing in three bands simultaneously. Anything to stay out of the house and have an excuse to go to parties. I try to write honestly and I hope all my music reflects that, whether it be rock, pop, funk, R&B or whatever else it's called. And I've been called a lot of things.

Currently, I play as a solo act, in a duo with my brother, in the band, "The Grangers," and also frequently sit in with the nu-music band, "Odd Toddler." I'm currently putting together a Tex-Mex band and releasing all back-issues, non-releases, B-sides, found tracks and demos from 20 years in Analgesic Studios (now Sound of Wall).
